Changes to Historical CAD Data Retention Policy

Effective December 1, 2024, ZOLL Data Systems will implement a new retention policy for historical CAD data within the ZOLL emsCharts solution.

What is Changing?

Previously, CAD data within ZOLL emsCharts was retained indefinitely. Starting on December 1, 2024, historical CAD data will be retained for a period of 120 days from the date it was received. After 120 days, the raw CAD data will be automatically removed from our system.

What Data Is Affected?

This change will only impact the raw CAD data sent directly to ZOLL emsCharts. It is important to note that this does not affect any data imported into a Patient Care Record (PCR). All information within your PCRs will continue to be stored in accordance with our existing retention policies and will remain accessible to you.

Why Is This Change Being Made?

This update is part of our ongoing efforts to optimize data management by reducing the storage of duplicate, third-party data and ensuring our systems operate at peak efficiency. By implementing this retention policy, we can continue to provide you with reliable and responsive service while maintaining the highest data security and compliance standards.
